Our second Reclaim The Night Launceston March will be held at 7.30pm on Friday August 9th. The aim of these marches is to raise awareness, build community, share ideas and inspire change.
Many of us have been affected by violence either directly or indirectly and it can leave you feeling helpless. But how can one person change the way we collectively behave and react to violence? One voice may not make much of an impact, but lots of voices all joined together can make positive changes in our society.
Come along & join us for this free, peaceful social event with a cause..... to Reclaim the Night and support safety for women to move throughout public spaces without fear.
We will follow a circular route through the CBD that will start and end at Rockin’ Hot Pizza in The Quadrant Plaza. There will be a short presentation by a guest speaker at the beginning of the event, and a group singalong of “I Am Woman” at the conclusion of the half hour walk.
Everyone welcome regardless of age, ethnicity, gender identity or religion. Help us Reclaim The Night for everyone.
